We still can’t believe how easy it is to make your own DIY foam hand soap. Honestly, we don’t see ourselves ever buying pre-blended hand soap ever again. It’s so simple and so freakin cheap! The best part is, it’s planet-saving at the same time!
You can use any foam soap bottle. Recycle one you’ve got at home or, if you need to purchase one, we carry them at the Vibe for just a few bucks.
A hand soap generally needs to be cleansing, have some anti-bacterial properties and of course, smell divine (come’on, we know you’re a closet hand soap “sniffer” like us)!
Here are two of our favorite recipes:
Wake-up & Sniff the Oranges Soap
- 1 X 8oz foam soap bottle
- Filtered water
- 2 tbsps of Dr. Bronner’s Castile Citrus Soap
- 8 drops Wild Orange Essential Oil (we recommend the doTERRA for that DIVINE effect)
Boom – hand soap. You can even add a few drops of the NOW-brand Vanilla essential oil to soften it up if you like. We’d recommend that you half the wild orange if you do this.
Roses are Lavender Soap
- 1 X 8oz foam soap bottle
- Filtered water
- 2 tbsps of Dr. Bronner’s Castile Rose Soap
- 8 drops Lavender Essential Oil
Other customer favorite blends include:
- Almond castile with cedarwood essential oil and white thyme (for that sauna/yoga studio scent)
- Unscented or citrus castile soap with lemon essential oil and tea tree
- Almond or unscented essential oil with lavender essential oil and tea tree
- Citrus castile soap with the doTERRA Citrus Bliss blend
