What is Holistic Nutrition?

Holistic Nutrition is a way of looking at the body as a whole: Body, mind and spirit. The body naturally wants to be in a state of optimal health and is continuously offering us cues as to what it requires to reach this state. Instead of managing individual symptoms, we work to find and address the underlying cause of the symptom. Everybody and every physical body is unique and thus requires specialized care.  A Registered Holistic Nutritionist’s goal is to naturally rebalance the body using whole foods, lifestyle techniques and natural supplements designed to target each person’s very specific needs. Holistic Nutrition in Cambridge Ontario is now offered by Alanna Fournie at Nature’s Vibe Natural Health Centre.

How can Holistic Nutrition help me?

The field of Holistic Nutrition uses symptomatology to work towards finding the root cause of what the client is struggling with. Signs, symptoms and patterns that an individual experiences are key components that your Holistic Nutritionist uses to determine the body systems that are in need of assistance and how to guide you in terms of the food and supplement based protocol that will rebalance the body and alleviate the symptoms.  In a 1.5-hour session, a Holistic Nutritionist will go through your symptoms, your health history, your current lifestyle, and day to day food choices. After this appointment, your intake paperwork is used to create a customized protocol with sustainable steps to rebalance the body through food, nutrition, and lifestyle suggestions. Follow–up appointments and/or customized meal plans may be suggested if needed as part of your protocol.
